How To Make Spooky Halloween Pretzel Sticks

Ingredients
  

CHOCOLATE COVERED PRETZELS

  • 18 pretzel rods
  • 24 ounces white chocolate chips (or favorite chocolate chips)

GOOGLY EYES AND SPRINKLES

Instructions
 

  • Met the white and/or dark chocolate chips.

2 WAYS TO MELT CHOCOLATE CHIPS

    ONE: Microwave

    • Add the chocolate chips in a heatproof microwave safe bowl. Place in the microwave and heat in 15 second intervals stirring in between each.

    TWO: Stove Top

    • Fit a heat proof bowl into a pot. Add 2 inches of water to the pot and bring to a slow simmer. Reduce the heat to low. Place the chocolate chips in the pre-fitted bowl. The water should not touch the bowl. Stir the chocolate until melted.
    • Dip/coat the 3/4 of the pretzel rods/sticks in the melted chocolate. Decorate the hot melted chocolate quickly and place on the prepared baking sheet.

    Notes

    • Substitute chocolate chips with candy wafers in fun colors.
    • Avoid letting water get into white chocolate. It becomes chalky and will not melt properly. Food coloring is not a match for white chocolate chips. Use candy wafers instead.
    • use a rubber spatula and swirl the white chocolate around the pretzel sticks to coat.
