Why not spend a Saturday afternoon with your children or a few girlfriends and create handmade Valentines this year?

As a former school teacher there is nothing I loved more than homemade Valentine’s Day cards with love notes from my second graders. Smile!

…JUST DARLING and OH SO SPECIAL!

No matter what your age, making a custom card for someone is beyond heart-warming!

Today I am sharing a fun idea to add a bit of mystery to a heart-felt message, DIY Scratch-Off Valentines!

DIY Scratch-Off Valentines

Supplies:

card stock
dish soap
metallic paint and paintbrush

Directions:

1. Using heavy card stock, create your own card or download and print my free printable below.

2. Write a message in the area you wish to cover with scratch off paint.

3. Mix 1 part dish soap to 2 parts paint.

4. Paint the area you wish to be scratched off. Let it dry.

 

5. Repeat 3 or 4 times to desired coverage.
