Cream Cheese Shimmer Mints


Sweet! Creamy! Melt In Your Mouth! MMMM!

These little shimmering  beauties go by many names! Wedding Mints! Holiday Mints! Baby Shower Mints! Cream Cheese Mints! Butter Mints! Bye Bye Mints needs to be added to the list, in a snap your fingers and they will be gone.

Cream Cheese Shimmer Mints

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract (MY FAVORITE!)
  • 5 cups powdered sugar
  • gel food coloring, your choice
  • paint brush
  • Silver Luster Dust

Directions

1. Add the cream cheese, butter, and peppermint extract to a mixing bowl and beat at medium high speed until combined.

 

2. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and continue to mix well (+/- powdered sugar as needed).

3. Options for shaping:

  • Roll into a 12 inch ropes and slice.
  • Roll into small balls and press with a glass or a fork.

3. Dry for 24 hours on baking sheet.

4. Paint on the luster dust. SO PRETTY!

5. Store in an airtight container separating layers with parchment. Mints can be frozen for up to six months.
